Tangerine Dream | Sessions II | 2LP

Tangerine Dream is a German electronic band formed in Berlin in 1967, and is described as an exponent of the Berlin School of electronic rock music. Founded by the late Edgar Froese, the group moved from free-rock beginnings in the krautrock scene to a synthesizer and sequencer-based trio that signed to Virgin. Their music earned them a cult following during the mid to late 1970s.

The Sessions II is a two-disc album released by Invisible Hands Music in the UK on 9 October 2020. It is credited to Tangerine Dream, with composition and performance by Hoshiko Yamane, Thorsten Quaeschning and Ulrich Schnauss. Yamane also plays electric violin and viola, while Quaeschning and Schnauss play synthesizer. The recordings come from live sessions at E-Live Festival in the Netherlands, one on Saturday 21 October 2017 and one on Sunday 22 October 2017.
