Grateful Dead | From The Mars Hotel (1974) | CD

The Grateful Dead is an American rock band that was active from 1965 to 1995 and formed in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh are among the band members credited on this album.

This is the 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of From The Mars Hotel, a three CD set released by Rhino Records on 19 July 2024. The set includes a nearly complete, previously unreleased show played on 12 May 1974 at the University of Nevada in Reno. The concert took place at an outdoor football stadium during a huge windstorm, and was the first road show for the band's sound system. It came after the band had spent two months in the studio recording Mars Hotel.
