WAR | Live In Japan 1974 | 2LP

War is a Latin funk group that started in Southern California in the early 1970s, formed from the remains of the R&B covers group The Creators. Producer Jerry Goldstein discovered them and gave them the name War, and they signed to United Artists before peaking commercially in the mid-1970s with the number 1 hit Low Rider. Later line-up changes and the loss of key members left the group less successful, and it became largely a touring act. Hip-hop artists have heavily sampled their music, introducing it to a new generation.

This is a 2 LP vinyl live album of recordings from War's 1974 performances in Shizuoka, Tokyo, Osaka and Kobe. It was released by Rhino Records on 7 February 2025.
